This coating belongs to a resin dispersion system; its core component is a water-based polymer, with an active ingredient content of 50%. It functions by forming a continuous film on the paper surface via a coating process. The film features a porosity of less than 0.1%, effectively blocking water droplets and grease molecules larger than 0.5 micrometers in diameter. With a viscosity of 500 mPa·s, the coating ensures uniform application, while its shear strength of 1 MPa meets the structural strength requirements for packaging. Unlike hot-melt adhesives, this product utilizes a non-hot-melt process, curing at room temperature through water evaporation, thereby avoiding heat-induced damage to the paper.

Resin is the primary constituent of the barrier coating (typically accounting for the majority of the dry weight). Upon drying on the paper surface, it forms a continuous, dense film that seals pores and prevents molecular permeation. Depending on specific barrier requirements, the following types of polymer resins are primarily used: Polyacrylate emulsions (Acrylics)-currently the most mainstream and widely used base materials on the market. They offer excellent water resistance, processability, and stability; through modification (such as styrene-acrylic or pure acrylic emulsions), they can provide superior water resistance, heat-sealability, and anti-blocking properties.
