Product Overview
Machine glazed kraft paper is a special category of kraft paper defined by its surface treatment. The paper is processed through a machine-glazing process, resulting in one smooth, glossy surface while the other side retains the natural rough fiber texture of kraft paper. This single-side smooth, double-side differentiated surface structure offers unique value in packaging processing. The glossy side is smooth and fine, providing uniform ink absorption for color and water-based ink printing. The rough side offers better adhesion with adhesives, making it suitable for lamination and mounting applications. The product is primarily available in natural brown, with white also available upon request. The weight range covers 70 to 300 grams. The product is widely used for carry bags, folding carton lamination, food packaging, tags and labels, and industrial packaging.
Differentiated Applications
The differentiated applications of it come from its two different surface characteristics. The glossy side serves as the printing surface with better color performance than ordinary double-side matte kraft paper, suitable for brand logos and fine graphics. The rough reverse side offers stronger adhesion and less delamination when bonded with corrugated board or paperboard, suitable for folding carton lamination and gift box production. In bag-making applications,it is used for shopping carry bags, apparel paper bags, gift packaging bags, envelopes, and file bags. The glossy side faces outward for brand printing, while the rough side faces inward for strength. In folding carton printing and lamination, it serves as facing paper for gift boxes and product outer packaging boxes, with the glossy side outward for printing and the rough side bonded to corrugated board. In food packaging, food-grade machine glazed kraft paper is used for dried goods packaging bags, bread paper bags, tea packaging, and dried fruit liners. High-oil products require additional fluorine-free greaseproof treatment. In tags and labels, it serves as product tags, self-adhesive label base paper, and commodity label card stock. In industrial packaging, it serves as parts interleaving paper, product wrapping protection, and cushioning liners.

Key Comparison
The core difference between kraft paper, machine finished kraft paper, and standard matte kraft paper lies in surface treatment. Machine glazed has one glossy side and one matte side. Machine finished has both sides smooth. Standard kraft paper has both sides matte and rough.
